The day I was born I was named after my uncle (Robert) and grandmother (Ella Jane).  Needless to say that name wasn’t Khandi.  My family started calling me Candy because my brother called me that the day I came home from the hospital.  Over the years I changed the spelling to Khandi.  Since that time I found out there was a queen in the book of Acts called Candace. Candace was a title that referred to a line of queens (similar to Pharaoh and Caesar), not the name of a particular queen.

From the hereditary title of the queens of Ethiopia, as mentioned in Acts in the NewTestament, Candace is apparently derived from the Cushitic kdke meaning “queen mother”.  In some versions of the Bible it is spelled Kandake, reflecting the Greek spelling : Κανδακη.. It was used as a given name by the Puritans after the Protestant Reformation.  It was popularized in the 20^th century by a character in the movie ‘Meet the Stewarts’ (1942).

K.H.A.N.D.I. Ministries is a non-denominational radical movement for Jesus.  We live in a time where nobody wants to say the name Jesus.  Nobody wants to give Jesus (what I like to call) His “props”.  Nobody wants to recognize that He is God in the flesh.  People want to talk about God but they fail to realize that Jesus is God.  They don’t want to give Him the proper recognition of His true identity.   There are many religions in the world but Christianity is the only one that I know of that has the correct view of who Jesus really is.  Many religions talk about Jesus but they don’t give him the proper recognition as to who He is.  That is the whole key to your salvation. He was more than a prophet and miracle worker.  He was more than a teacher.  If you deny who Jesus is then how can you believe in God?  Jesus is God.  Other religions ignore Jesus.  Many leaders of other religions are opposed to what Jesus said or they change his statements to make them suitable for their religion.  Jesus told people to follow Him and Him alone. There is only one that came from heaven, died, rose from the dead and ascended back to where He came from.  No one else can make that claim. That is the eliminating factor.
